2010 is a big year in Mexico – the 200th Celebration of the First Independence Movement in Mexico.
The favorite son of San Miguel – Ignacio Allende will be at the center of this celebration.
This statue in the Jardin celebrates Allende and where he lived in San Miguel.
But the statue is curious and in particular the hand movement the sculptor gives Allende.
It looks a lot like this.
Is the sculptor trying to reveal some long hidden information about Allende? Or is it simply a ploy by the real estate agents to attract gay buyers to raise house prices in San Miguel.
